Via Kable: The Office of Public Sector Information has launched an online forum on the commercial use of government data.

Go here. Register. Comment.

If those numbers stay the same, I don’t ever want anyone to complain about how the UK government doesn’t listen, isn’t responsive, blah and yet again blah.

    Actually, it’s a discussion forum set up in direct response to Tom Steinberg & Ed Mayo’s report, ‘The Power of Information’ - http://www.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/publications/reports/power_information/power_information.pdf - on the re-use of public sector-generated information, not *quite* as broad as “the commercial use of government data”…

    Some sensible comments and pretty quick responses from OPSI on full access to the database of all schools and releasing government documents (not just the press releases) on RSS feeds. What public sector information would you like to make use of?
